Our client is the largest seafood company in the United States. Their Japan Branch Office is looking for a Business Support Analyst to support JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. This position will be responsible for analysis and evaluation of special projects and user business problems and providing recommendations to meet requirements. Assignments typically include problem definition, evaluation of requirements, coordination of development and implementation of systems to meet business and user requirements. This individual will work directly with the Japan office and the Seattle Corporate office.
Analyzes business processes related to accounting, order management, inventory and manufacturing, and other business functions, in order to develop or enhance business processes through the use of technology solutions.
Consults with management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
Performs related duties as requested or assigned to support setup and maintenance in JDE; examples include EDI, Pricing and Landed Cost.
Performs and/or coordinates quality assurance testing of all software patches, updates and custom development prior to release to production.
Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluation, and developing systems and procedures.
Writes and maintains functional specifications for new and modified business systems.
Consults and coordinates with analysts, programmers, and other technical resources to design and develop automated business systems.
Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business and functional processes during application implementation, development and configuration of software solutions.
Consults with management and personnel to obtain necessary information during design and development phases of projects.
Coordinates work of others to develop, test, install and modify programs.
Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications.
Creates or assists others in writing of user documentation, instructions or procedures.
Travel to Seattle Headquarters as necessary (10% travel)
College/University degree in a related field.
Two or more years' experience supporting JD Edwards Enterprise One in either Financial Management, Order Management, Inventory and Manufacturing applications, or similar tier 1 applications, such as SAP or Oracle.
Multilingual, English required
Good understanding of data structures, business views, system configurations, integration points, application tools and module functionality.
Experience writing functional specifications for report design and custom programming changes.
Ability to troubleshoot and support day-to-day end user and system issues.
Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.
Experience as a liaison between the end-user departments and the developers.
