Our client is a growing precision machine shop that has 5 climate controlled plants located in Wisconsin.
Skill-set:  The CMM Coordinator must be very strong in drawing interpretation (especially GD&T), very strong in the PC-DMIS CMM programming language, and must be strong in understanding of machining processes.  The CMM Coordinator must also have good communication and problem solving skills.
Job Description:  The main function of the CMM Coordinator will be to oversee the Company’s CMM’s and development PC-DMIS programs:
  1. Create PC-DMIS programs agreed between Manufacturing Engineering and Quality that are efficient and effective for inspection of products.
  2. Ensure that all CMM technology (hardware & software) remain in useable condition and calibration status.
  3. Working with the company’s IT department, maintain compatibility of all CMM technology with the company’s computer network.
  4. Conduct PPAP / qualification activities as assigned by the Director of Quality;
  5. Working with Team Lead, troubleshoot manufacturing operations performed by interfacing with machinists, inspectors, supervisors, and programmers;
  6. Analyze inspection data when requested by inspectors or supervisors and give input to possible solutions to job concerns.
  7. Interface with customers, when necessary, concerning measurement systems and inspection methods;
  8. Back-up inspector or back-up to the Director of Quality;
  9. Training of CMM inspectors in the use and programming of PC-DMIS
