FLOOR MATERIALS SUPERVISOR - (OFF SHIFT) SUMMARY: 
Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies or organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
 
 

FLOOR MATERIALS SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
  • Responsible for the accuracy of data entry such as receipts, scrap and other inventory-related transactions.
  • Ensures FIFO inventory rotation and lot control documentation is properly followed.
  • Directly supervises the team members in the Materials Department. 
  • Responsible for following safe and effective warehousing practices.
  • Establish Visual Inventory Parameters that will support the 5S on the plant floor.
  • Provide daily updates to KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Assist in conducting physical inventories as they may occur.
  • Support systems and procedures to implement inventory control and traffic which assures the availability of parts, materials and transportation for an uninterrupted flow of materials for the plant.
  • Develops procedures and requirements for parts suppliers to improve timeliness of parts and materials delivery. 
  • Assist with developing procedures to handle changes in product in order to coordinate the changes in parts and materials within the plant system, with suppliers and with customer, to insure timely start-up of production.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. 
  • Involved with training, planning, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 
 
 
 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of four years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work an Off Shift.
