This is a highly visible role to own end to end strategy for a fast growing health system and specialty benefits company.  As a Strategy Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the development, execution and use of timely, actionable market, competitor and customer information to grow the business.  Agile group with tremendous exposure within the CEO's office.  Must have payer or provider strategy experience.  No relocation.  Extraordinary benefits and compensation.  Opportunity for fast career growth.

Primary duties:

  • Acts as a partner in business planning process and leverages customer, competitor and market information to proactively identify and assess new business opportunities
  • Organizes, evaluates and communicates information from multiple sources including but not limited to customer insights, industry research, trade and industry events, media coverage, etc. to form a complete picture of customers, markets, and growth opportunities
  • Supports customer segmentation to help align solution offerings with customer and market needs
  • Identifies core strategic imperatives for success and defines compelling initiatives that drive growth, are strategically aligned, and are measurable
  • Leverage professional background and specific knowledge base to develop rigorous strategic and financial analysis that will be used to determine solution and operation decisions.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments to drive projects to timely and high quality completion
  • Support sales and client management in bringing solutions to market.

 

The qualified candidate will have:

  • BA/BS degree;
  • 3-5 years of experience in strategy consulting or private equity, with proven ability to develop business transformation strategies based on market- and customer-centric information and analysis (5 years or more at the Manager level); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business, Product Marketing, or related field would be a plus
  • Knowledge of managed care industry, provider industry, health care consulting, and/or specialty benefit management solutions
  • Cross-industry experience in both health insurance and health-related industries such as health information technology or provider operations.
  • Expert PowerPoint, Excel skills and data analysis skills
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of time
