LOCATION:  Greater Detroit, Michigan area
Our client is seeking to fulfill the role of Hydraulic Applications Engineer based out of their location in the Greater Detroit, Michigan area. Be the primary technical resource for field sales.  Work for a worldwide manufacturer that designs and develops hydraulic components to supply to companies in the business of fluid power distribution and manufacturing.
  • Expert knowledge of company products
  • Follow internal and customer advanced product quality planning processes
  • Identify customer needs for product applications
  • Within assigned sales channel, effectively communicate technology and product positioning
  • Coordinate testing of new designs within the company and preparing and planning of prototypes and documentation, which includes, modifications and continuing product improvement
  • Effectively analyze competitor products to create strategies to sell products against competitors
  • Use training tools in regard to product development or enhancements to support the sales process
  • Candidate needs to comply with ISO 9001:2015 regulations and procedures.  
  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical) or 2-year Fluid Power Associates Degree with relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of products and their applications
  • Excellent understanding of problem solving and analytical skills and the desire for continuous learning of new products and concepts
  • Team player that is motivated and responsible and can lead by example
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead with a high level of professionalism, honesty and integrity
  • Excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office tools
  • Able to travel up to 40% of the time.
