Development and on-boarding of profitable new business and maintaining existing business.
  • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with current account base
  • Thorough knowledge of the organization, work with senior management to ensure sales goals are being met
  • Implement marketing and sales strategies for customer base
  • Coordinate the complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentations; start-up and customer service follow-up after the sales
  • Expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability 
  • High school diploma or GED required. BS/BA preferred.
  • Strong computer skills. Previous experience with Express Technologies Dispatch system a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of transportation sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Email
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated proven ability to grow sales territory
  • Knowledge of target markets and transportation industry
  • Prior experience with contact management programs preferred but not required
  • Able to succeed on a commission based incentive program
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Must have a portable book of business in logistics/non-asset (brokerage) sales of at least $1.5m with solid margin
  • Will be responsible for P&L accountability
