Development and on-boarding of profitable new business and maintaining existing business.
Cultivate and maintain working relationships with current account base
Thorough knowledge of the organization, work with senior management to ensure sales goals are being met
Implement marketing and sales strategies for customer base
Coordinate the complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentations; start-up and customer service follow-up after the sales
Expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability
High school diploma or GED required. BS/BA preferred.
Strong computer skills. Previous experience with Express Technologies Dispatch system a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of transportation sales experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Email
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated proven ability to grow sales territory
Knowledge of target markets and transportation industry
Prior experience with contact management programs preferred but not required
Able to succeed on a commission based incentive program
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Must have a portable book of business in logistics/non-asset (brokerage) sales of at least $3m.
