Production Planner
  • Global equipment manufacturer headquartered in Evanston, IL is expanding and needs to a Production Scheduler to add to the team

  • The Production Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling the equipment assembly department
  • Collaborates with a team to complete planning process.  Key areas of focus will be capacity, resource management, and SAP/ ERP development. 
  • Position newly created due to business growth
  • Prefer local candidates, will provide relocation assistance if necessary; sponsorship is not available 
 
Responsibilities
  • Scheduling/Production Planning multiple work cells within Chicago manufacturing site
  • ERP/SAP environment
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Process development. Process flow. Change Management.
  • Cross functional interface with Operations, Plant Supply Chain, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, Commodity Management
  • Participate in and support the Sales and Operations Planning process KPIs, inventory turns, product availability, projects/process development
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Must have manufacturing, operations or supply chain experience.
  • APICS, CPIM, or CSCP is a plus
  • MRP is required.  Ideally ERP, SAP or Oracle.  Using ERP system with Production Planning, Routings and scheduling
  • 2-5 years production planning / scheduling experience.  Must be in a manufacturing environment.  Ideally in assembly, automotive, hard-goods manufacturing, fabrication, welding, CNC, machining, or similar
  • Strong analytical/analysis skills
  • Successful process improvement record
  • Candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership skills and successful process improvement background
