Second shift position.
Production Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of packaging. Ensures that production of products meets or exceeds efficiency and company quality standards, and that facilities and processes conform to GMP standards. Insure that packaging is performed in an efficient manner, and that an adequately trained workforce is maintained. Direct responsibility to maintain the facility in a sanitary manner, and to insure that all products meet regulatory and customer specifications. Has indirect responsibility for daily maintenance and laboratory functions in support of production and quality goals.
Bachelor’s degree required. Solid knowledge of SQF, HAACP, GMP’s and sanitation regulations. Ability to present information in one-on-one and/or larger group situations, along with a strong math background and the ability to interpret and draw graphs and charts. Requires analytical skills to identify root causes and resolve situations and problems with viable solutions.
Minimum of three (3) years Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment, or a combination of education and related work experience will be considered. Demonstrated experience with being engaged at the floor level and being “hands on”, while setting positive examples for others to follow. Must be able to multi-task, work independently, and have demonstrated leadership experience and capabilities.
Responsible for the leadership of a production crew of approximately 70 employees with regards to safety, quality, efficiency and consistent application of best practices.
