This may be the perfect opportunity for you.  In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing goals and developing strategies to support Company objectives.
  • Ensuring the development, implementation, and ongoing management of public relations programs.
  • Writing press releases, communications plans, speeches, and internal communications.
  • Maintaining fact sheets & online press room materials.
  • Effectively responding to media inquiries,
  • Communicating progress and other key updates to key internal executive management teams and stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Building positive relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Partner with management to anticipate future business changes and challenges and proactively develop and implement new or revised plans.
  • Stay current on industry practices, audience perception, and key trends assessing and communicating their potential impact on the business.
  • Fluent in Social Media and develops and maintains relationships with relevant Social Media Influencers.
  • Partner with store operations to coordinate all store opening coverage, including on-site media and social media tours, retail and real estate coverage opportunities.
  • Work with outside PR agencies as needed
  • Manage financial aspects and budgets to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Ensure alignment on priorities and direction by partnering with other groups and leaders.
  • Leads all business public relations efforts for chain including business communications, store announcements and new store openings.
  • Manage all business PR strategies, including pitching and responding to business and store opening-related media inquiries.
  • Support executive communication including business initiatives, quarterly results, and video production.
  • Monitor and report to leadership on relevant coverage, press releases and other communications.
  • Field and manage all media inquiries.
  • Work closely with real estate, store opening, marketing and other internal teams to communicate related news; coordinate with developer partners on messaging/execution for new store opening.
  • Develop Q&As, press release and other key media materials.
  • Maintain all fact sheets & online press room materials.
  • Integrate messaging and communications with overall company business PR efforts.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding about the retail industry

If you meet the following criteria we would love to talk.

  • Bachelor's degree ­­­is ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­preferred in ­­­­­­­­­­­­communications, marketing or journalism.
  • 8 years’ experience in communications, public relations, public affairs or related field.
  • Passion and understanding of fast growing retailers
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and senior leadership across a diverse set of organizations and functions.
  • Strong strategic planning abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Must have solid understanding of all forms of media
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and when facing tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and audience perception as necessary.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal (including presentation) communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to make sound decisions without a lot of direction.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Willing to travel.
