We are currently looking for a qualified Field Supervisor. Reporting to the Superintendent and/or Project Manager, the Field Supervisor oversees field activities as directed either by reporting to and/or acting as the field superintendent, which includes completing documentation, ordering materials, coordinating subcontractor activities, training and monitoring subordinates, etc. In addition, the Field Supervisor performs the duties of field staff positions as required.

The ideal candidate for this position has at least five years of construction experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity, and can perform the responsibilities as listed. He or she must have a working knowledge of various construction disciplines, cost control, field engineering, scheduling, safety regulations, and quality control and must be able to read and comprehend construction documents. For safety purposes, he or she must be able to take directions and read signs in English and must be physically able to perform the required duties, which includes safely maneuvering on a jobsite (climbing ladders, negotiating rough terrain, etc.) and safely lifting, carrying, or moving heavy objects weighing 50 or more pounds (drawings and plans, tools, equipment, etc.).
  • Completes all required field documentation in a timely manner, such as field reports, time sheets, safety talks and reports, incident reports, accident and incident investigations, digital photos, and additional paperwork as required
  • Lists and orders materials
  • Coordinates all aspects of subcontractor activities (i.e., work-in-place, sequencing, layout, procedures, etc.)
  • Performs responsibilities of other field staff positions as required
  • Updates drawings and drawing log (i.e., posting SKAs, bulletins, ASIs, etc.)
  • Monitors subcontract compliance and extra work orders
  • Checks and coordinates deliveries
  • Implements Safety program
  • Implements quality control program
  • Maintains positive client, A/E, and subcontractor relationships
  • Promotes business development by projecting a positive image of the companies during interactions with employees, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Implements on-site sign-in logs (i.e., subcontractor sign-in, visitor’s affidavit log, competent person, etc.)
  • Implements the companies Union Activity Guidelines (i.e., pickets, B.A. visits, gate control, signage, etc.)
  • Trains subordinates and monitors their development
  • Pursues individual training and goals set at performance review
  • Performs additional assignments and takes on other supervisory responsibilities as directed
