Responsibilities:
  • Create forecasting plan using historical data and manage inventory levels based on forecasting and customer demands
  • Confirm supplier has proper inventory of purchased items required to fulfill the needs purchased
  • Manage and minimize excess/obsolete inventory
  • Prepare weekly delinquency reports and shortage lists with action plans
  • Drive a lean process by implementing Kanban, just-in-time, postponement and other materials strategies to reduce inventory while increasing delivery.
  • Purchase products domestically and internationally and monitor assigned category of inventory for customers
  • Negotiate prices, leverage buys and analyze purchasing reports to reduce inventory and purchase a quality product at the best possible price
  • Maintain integrity of ERP data and maintain accuracy of inventory transactions throughout entire planning and purchasing process
  • Improve supplier fill rates, quality, lead times and needs while monitoring and tracking supplier’s delivery performance
  • Interface with big-box stores and online retailers to ensure inventory demands are being met
 Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree is required; Prefer majors in Supply Chain, Economics, Business or Operations Management preferred or related
  • 5-10 years of forecasting, supply planning, purchasing, buying, and inventory planning experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment in a foods, consumer products or retailer
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting / demand management and replenishment tools and the ability to execute such principles
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office
  • Advanced Excel knowledge of formulas, v-lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills.
  • International supply chain experience preferred.
