Our client is a leading global manufacturer of flooring products for residential and commercial applications.

Warehousing Project Manager:
The Warehousing Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects and implementing best practices within warehousing and distribution throughout company divisions.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and implements warehousing and distribution best practices for Company and other business units within Company, both domestic and international.
  • Manages warehousing and distribution projects from conception through implementation while working across organizational lines and with multiple internal and external entities.
  • Identifies and recommends appropriate use of the latest technologies and concepts, material handling equipment, storage media types and new software solutions to reduce cost and increase productivity in distribution and warehousing
  • Maximizes the use of existing systems to increase efficiency and productivity while reducing cost.
  • Supports the implementation of new systems such as WMS, LMS/WFM systems and ERP systems.
  • Recommends revisions to warehouse layouts to improve the flow of products and reduce handling.
  • Increases the utilization of equipment, labor and other resources within warehouses.
  • Reviews and revises labor standards and quality standards within warehouses.
  • Works with cross-functional teams within logistics, operations, technology, finance and other business units to achieve the goals.
 
Education/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Engineering or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of work experience in warehousing and distribution
  • Knowledge of WMS, ERP systems and LMS/WFM systems preferred
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
